Three simple steps, one short walk
Garden Gate is built around the way people already shop locally: little and often, on foot.
1. Discover
Enter your postcode and see everything ready within a mile or two — from a neighbour's tomato glut to a farm's cutting patch.
2. Order
Reserve what you would like and choose a collection day. Growers pick to order, so nothing is cut before it is needed.
3. Collect
Your order is dropped at a nearby collection point. Show your order code at the counter and take it home.
Questions we are asked most
- Why collect rather than have it delivered?
- Collection keeps prices honest and means neither you nor the grower has to share a home address. It also suits growers with day jobs — they drop everything off once.
- Who are the collection points?
- Independent corner shops, post offices and farm shops that have agreed to hold orders. They are chosen for long opening hours and a spot on a route people already walk.
- Do I need an account to browse?
- No. Browsing produce, flowers and the full recipe catalogue is open to everyone. You only sign in to order or to share a recipe of your own.
- How fresh is fresh?
- Most sellers pick or cut on the morning of collection. Each listing shows the grower's own picking days.
